Storm Damage Roof Repair in Warminster, PA — Nor'easter Blow-Off on a Split-Level
A late-March nor’easter delivered sustained 65 mph gusts that stripped a continuous four-foot section of shingles off the north-facing slope of this Warminster split-level, leaving the OSB decking exposed through three days of rain before the homeowners called us in. The pre-existing shingles were Owens Corning Duration in Driftwood, a product still in production — which meant we could achieve a near-seamless visual match without a full slope replacement.
We removed all remaining shingles on the affected slope, dried the decking, and replaced one sheet of saturated OSB before installing new peel-and-stick underlayment across the entire slope. The adjacent chimney flashing had been lifted by the same wind event and was reseated and re-sealed as part of the same scope. Matching Duration shingles were installed slope-wide to prevent the step-pattern aging mismatch that comes from patching individual sections.
The repair was watertight by end of day. We submitted a full photo documentation package to the homeowner’s insurance adjuster, which supported a successful storm damage claim.
