Full Roof Replacement in Doylestown, PA — Architectural Shingles on a 1960s Colonial
The original 3-tab shingles on this Doylestown colonial were installed in the mid-1990s and had lost over 40% of their granule coverage across all four slopes, with confirmed water intrusion at two valley intersections and the rear dormer flashing. We performed a complete tear-off, exposing the decking and uncovering six sheets of water-damaged OSB that required replacement before any new material could go down.
Once the deck was solid, we installed a full peel-and-stick ice-and-water shield across all eave zones, valleys, and penetration areas — standard for Bucks County’s freeze-thaw exposure — followed by synthetic felt underlayment on the field areas. The finished system is CertainTeed Landmark Series architectural shingles in Heather Blend, re-flashed at all dormers and the chimney with step and counter flashing, with ridge cap and new pipe boot collars throughout.
The project ran three days start to finish. All debris was removed by dumpster the same day tear-off was completed, and the yard was swept twice with a magnetic nail roller before final walkthrough.
Project Documentation

"Flavio and his crew were professional from the first call to the final walkthrough. They found decking damage we didn't know about, showed us photos before fixing it, and finished in three days exactly like they said. The new roof looks better than anything else on our street."
